After difficulty find the white on white pairing button on the associated HomeSafe alarm, I went through the pairing process. I was able to extablish a low volume signal that was brief and could quickly be stopped by turning the switch on this unit off or putting the magnets on this unit together (closing the door). None of these features ( ow volume, short duration, or easy interruption) make a useful security device.
