My son is obsessed with Johnny Tractor, and also loves construction anything. He's a city boy, and we live in a bustling area with condos & buildings going up left and right. He's also a country boy when he goes to my parent's farm. The Johnny Tractor line of characters have been a lot of fun for him, and this book was a great non-farm book. There's one scene in the book my son noticed and I didn't, where the machines are trying to hide their work in progress from the kids. He pointed out that one of them was whistling. Too cute! This is a great storybook for a kid who loves construction machines. We got it for my son when he was between 2.5-3 years old. The back of the book as a section where it describes what each machine does, which is certainly helpful because I don't know what the differences are!My 4-year-old son loves tractors and absolutely loves this book. For that reason I would love to rate this at 5 stars. Unfortunately, after just normal reading, it fell apart the same day he received it. For that reason I lean towards rating it a 1 star. Instead I'll compromise at 3 stars. The book itself is just glued to the cover and fell out very easily. At that point the pages started separating. I have since taped the pages together and hot glued the binding back to the cover. Perhaps the manufacturer could at least consider stapling it? That would be a better option in my opinion.I read this to my son everynight before bed. He loves all the machines and points out each one as we go page by page.Only thing is I've had this less than 1 month and the cover has already fallen off, and the rest of the book looks like its about to fall apart. Really hoping I can glue it cause its a favorite!Story wise this is a great book for younger kids that love diggers and other construction equipment. The story is fun and the illustrations are colorful. My son loves it, he made me read it three times the first 10 minutes we had it.HOWEVER I strongly advise you to buy this locally where you can check the binding. Received the book and noticed the binding was loose, by the time we read to the end the whole section of pages had fallen out. Requested an exchange and the second book was exactly the same.Love this series. My son's grandpa has a John Deere lawn mower, so he is obsessed. I got a bunch of books in this series as a special gift for him to read with his 'Pop Pop.' It is so sweet to watch them enjoy these together. Perfect for any tractor loving toddler or preschooler!!Cute book. My sons love tractor and "diggers" all construction rigs and love baseball. So we got a two for one. I would recommend it for little guys.My grandson has a very small attention span, so I am lucky to get him to sit for 5 minutes. These books are perfect, just long enough to keep his attention and the colors are bright and vivid. Will be ordering more from the series.Story was what I expected from the series but the book construction was terrible. The thing literally fell apart after the first reading and after many bandaid fixes, I ended up throwing the whole thing away.I bought this for my digger daft son and have now read it so many times that it is almost worn out. Its a great story and both boys have enjoyed the story and even the facts at the end about the different vehicles has been discussed between them. I would recommend this to anyone into John Deere or diggers.Lovely book. My two year old loves tractors and diggers. Very colourful ,easy to read and not too long.Bought for my childminding business just what I need arrived in good time no issues great qualityLovely story but pages fell out very quickly. The glue doesn't seem very strong.A lovely book to read my nearly 3 year old at bed time
