With the recent passing of award-winning Toni Morrison, I found myself wanting to read more of her stories. Ms. Morrison was such a talented writer. At the end of "Home", one of our main characters shares a shameful confession. I was so shocked I put the book down with a stunned expression on my face. The painfully deep confession explained so much but I did NOT see it coming. I found myself haunted by the confession days after finishing the book. To have developed a fictional character so well that the reader is still thinking about that confession nearly a week after completing the book? That's some powerful character development. I look forward to reading more of Toni Morrison's work.
