After reading Land I was hooked. So when I saw Home had been released I charged up the Kindle, got a big cup of coffee and settled in for what I already knew would be a great read!I was crying in the first chapter. When contact was made (at the fence), darn it, I did not see that twist coming and wanted to punch those girls. Yet, as the reader, I understood why they reacted the way they did. When one of the characters was hiding (in the tree) I realized I was holding my breath. I loved and hated that I was made to wait! This is just one example of the “can’t put this down” qualities of this Author. Ms. Shaver’s has a way of drawing you into the story. I found myself rooting for the character vs. so often critiquing their mistakes. This journey was heart wrenching, breath-holding and just down right thrilling!Ms. Shaver, I’ve read in the blogs that you claim to be a new Author – well you can’t claim that anymore! The Stranded series reads like you’re an “old pro”.I would categorize this series as a great disaster- survival story with excellent character development.I did notice a few typos, “the” vs. “they” small stuff and only a few. I hope other readers will take notices how fast you’re pumping these books out and not give you a hard time about the small stuff. The content is there!
