New Home On The Range is the 8th CD released by the Yampa Valley Boys, from Steamboat Springs, CO. At the time of this release, we are in our 14th year as a band. We dedicate this album to the memories of Doc Stovall, Greg Scott and Locke Hamilton, all of whom have their songs included here. In addition to great western song covers, we have seven tracks either written or arranged by Steve Jones. We are proud to include a co-write with Les Buffam, who we consider the king of co-writes in the western music field. Of course there is plenty of John Fisher's 5-string banjo, played in the Frailing style. We are very excited to have Al 'Doc' Mehl on cello, join us on two tracks ( New Home On The Range and The Parting Glass). Working with Doc proved to be one of the highlights of this project. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Great new album! Break a leg!!!
