This item was recommended to me by my daughter who is a licensed nail tech. I was not to excited about using a grater on my feet, as I thought it could be dangerous. But after much insistence from my daughter who owns one, I ordered it & I'm so glad I did!My main problem is a callus that forms on the side of the big toe, even though I get bi-weekly pedicures. I used it for the first time & I must say, WOW! The callus is gone, & the skin is soft & I did not need to use a file to smooth out the skin.It is extremely important to be very careful & not to be overly zealous cause YOU WILL hurt yourself by removing too much skin which will be painful. However, this being said, it works very well if used with care. It is easy to clean & the large handle makes it easy to hold on to. I love the fact that it does not produce tiny cuts on the skin as other callus rasps do, requiring the use of a file in order to obtain a smooth finish. I'm told by other ladies who use this that the more you use it, the less often you have to use it cause the callus don't come back as fast which is a big plus.For the purpose of removing calluses which is the reason why I bought it, I am extremely happy & pleased with this item.
