Bob Dylan songbooks are hard to find. The collection of songs for this book are a great basic instruction for anybody who just wants to strum a few Dylan songs. Fundamentally they're all arranged pretty well, but if you're looking to learn 'how to play' the Dylan songs in this collection, save your money. It's not a 'Recorded Versions' book like Hal Leonard has put out for more than a few artists, it's very basic chords and lyrics. For example, this book puts the song 'Don't Think Twice It's Alright' in the key of 'C' while the original is played in Eb with a capo on the 4th fret. (although it should be noted that it is still played with chord structures in the 'C' position - so in that respect it is acurate.)In my opinion 'The Beatles - The Complete Scores' by Hal Leonard publishing is probably the greatest songbook of all time. It has accurate guitar tab, bass tab, drum tab, piano score - even orchestral scoring - for EVERY Beatle song ever recorded. That to me is a 5 star book, and although Dylan's music is all at once poetic, melodic, inspiring and genius, which this book conveys, the book itself leaves some to be desired.
