Due to the layout of my entertainment room, I was looking to add front presence speakers to my setup to make it 5.1.2. The rest of my speakers are Klipsch, so that's were I started looking.I really liked the slim profile of the RP-240D, as well as the flexibility to mount it horizontally. Since my walls are already finished and insulated, I opted to run the speaker wire through raceways instead of doing surgery on the drywall. The horizontal positioning of the speakers not only helped getting the immersive sound I was looking for, but also made it a short, straight shot to run the wire / raceway behind the upper TV (see photo).Installation was straightforward - there are only two wall-mounted screws for each speaker. Based on the positioning on my walls, I did not have any studs exactly in the screw locations so I used #10 screws (per the speaker instructions) and pretty substantial wall anchors. Also, I created my own actual-size template based on the schematic you can download from Klipsch (one suggestion for improvement would be for them to supply an actual-size template). I used my two templates to get the position of the speakers how I wanted relative to the TVs and the movie posters. Then I marked where to drill. Once the wall anchors & screws were in place, I connected the speaker wire and routed it behind the upper TV and down the vertical center raceway (not really visible in the photo) down to my Yamaha RX-A880 receiver.Once everything was connected I connected the Yamaha YPAO mic and ran the automatic sound calibration utility using several listening positions. With everything working properly I installed the horizontal cable raceways to hide the speaker wire running from the speakers to behind the upper TV.I am happy to say that I am VERY PLEASED with the overall sound quality of these speakers, and the overall effect of having presence speakers in my system. It has created a much more immersive quality to movies, and "wall of sound" effect to music when I choose to use 7-channel stereo (vs. 2-channel).I would highly recommend these speakers because they sound great, look great, easy to install, and have multiple installation options (in addition to wall-mount vertical or horizontal, they also come with stands if you want to put them on a shelf. I didn't use my stands).
