I like to give keepsake gifts and this new home ornament is part of a housewarming package that I plan to give to a friend that just purchased a new home. It has the year 2013 on it which is a nice touch, because I personally cant quickly remember the year that I purchased my home unless I stop and think about it - details fade with time. I like that this ornament has sweet home sayings on it like home sweet home, welcome home, etc. and says new home. It does not come with an ornament hook or string which is my only complaint, but that is typical with some ornaments. I will probably just add a hook in the box before I gift it. I would recommend.
