Though this was not my favorite of Elizabeth Prentiss' books, I find it impossible to rate any of her writings as less than 5 stars. Besides loving the time period, language, and God-centeredness of all her books, the practical biblical wisdom told in story form is what wins me over. There aren't many Christian fiction writers I'm fond of but she tops the list of favorite Christian authors- nonfiction included!
