Product Description Gela Sawall Ashcroft is a professional music composer, arranger, and orchestrator for films, videos, commercials, musicals, plays, and songs. She has worked on many projects including 'NYPD Blue,' 'Bugs Bunny on Broadway,' Mahogany Picture's feature film, 'Savage,' and Focus on the Family Film's 'Adventures in Odyssey' series. She recently composed, conducted, and recorded a 70-minute, full orchestral score with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra for Rising Star Entertainment's Western feature entitled, 'The Long Ride Home,' which was released in May, 2003, starring Randy Travis, Eric Roberts, Ernest Borgnine, and Garry Marshall. She is also a writer/producer of screenplays, children's books, and an adult devotional series. She is a graduate of Baylor University with a 'Bachelor of Music in Music Composition' and received her Masters from the University of Southern California in 'Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television.' She also studied Graduate level Orchestral Conducting at The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. She was selected to participate in both the BMI and ASCAP Film Scoring Workshops and was a winner of BMI's Pete Carpenter Fellowship which included an internship with Mike Post, an award winning television composer. She has also won two 'Telly' awards for her music for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod's 'Martin Luther' movie trailer and for their children's 'Mr. Whistle' series.
