Is Frank truly in control of the situation, or is he slowly inching toward a trap?This story has probably the best dialogue I’ve ever read. That being said, the whole book is about 85% dialogue which I love when done well, and this was done well. The wit and ease of the speech feels incredibly real and true to how two bickering brothers might argue. I was so absorbed by the hilariously morbid arguments that I felt like I was witnessing a conversation rather than reading about one. Truly a fantastic job.Tune builds an amazing world with amazing characters and I can picture the small town life with small family businesses on quaint streets and feel at home. I absolutely loved the mental transportation to the Burgers Brothers’ Funeral Home and I’m glad there’s a book two so I can witness this family chaos for longer. This book isn’t fear-filled horror but if you’re looking for morbid comedy, I promise it will hit the spot damn well. Really looking forward to the next installment! ☠️Also, the physical copy is beautiful and I love the cartoon artwork within the pages. It sets the mood and makes the story all the more joyfully comical despite the skeletons that dance about!
