Ok, I'm a little obsessed with this chair, and with good reason. It is the most comfortable and attractive chair I've ever owned. I spend quite a lot of time at my desk, and a good chair is essential. I wanted a stylish option that would recline and adjust up and down. That's a more complicated combination to find than one might expect! This chair fits the bill. The seat has been hosting me for hours a day for several weeks, and it hasn't shown any signs of breaking down. Based on reviews of the casters, I replaced them proactively with an antique-looking set. I can use a lumbar pillow for extra support or sit all the way back and still maintain an upright posture. I was a bit concerned about buying the light color, but it remains in pristine condition even with my cats all over it.The only caveat I'd offer is to be mindful of the size and your space. It is a bulkier chair than most (hence the extreme comfort!), and you may not be expecting the size. It does not fit under my sizeable executive desk. This is fine for me, but I am not just reviewing this for my use, but for anyone shopping!Go for it if you've got the space and like the style! It's a winner.Update; It's been a couple of months and just this last week, the chair decided it had enough. The seat cushion went flat. The hydraulic thingamajig has started dropping lower randomly, of its own accord. And the chair started creaking like something from a haunted mansion. Either I've always had bad chairs (doubtful) or this one is special because it remains the most physically comfortable desk chair I've owned. I don't see that lasting long if these problems persist and deepen. Perhaps it needs some maintenance. I wonder if I got the protection plan for it...Update July 8th: Well here I am shopping for another chair. I've been using an additional cushion on the seat of this one for months now and it's time to find something better. No, I did not buy the protection plan for it and that's fine because they'd probably say this is normal wear and tear. Only it isn't! It's not normal for a chair's seat cushion to go flat weeks after the hydraulics fail. This chair should have lasted years, not months. And I've been putting off shopping for another. By May I should have done my posterior and mental health a favor and gotten a truly supportive chair. But how does one find a supportive and aesthetically pleasing chairing? And how does one know whether a chair will last, even if it's the most comfortable office chair in the whole wide world when first unboxed? This is a sad day for me. I'm finally giving up. Were there a way to add memory foam to the seat, I'd do that. But the only thing I can do now is to pass this on to my son who will write all over it and put stickers on it, probably paint too... And he'll enjoy every minute of it! That's my silver lining. A happy kiddo. :-)Oh, and I'll look into the protection plan on the next chair...Update August 11, 2022: When last I updated, I was about to buy a new chair but I thought I'd reach out to the company first, in case they might help in some way. Well, their customer service is OUTSTANDING!!! All they asked for were a few photos and they sent a replacement chair right out. I didn't even have to send the old one back, so my son can still paint and sticker it! Their representative was so sweet and wonderful to work with, I just can't say enough about her! She has supported the company's product in exemplary fashion and I'm sitting pretty in an Obsession-Worthy Chair once again. Of course, should I experience the issues I had with the first chair again, I'll post another update. But for now I'm beyond impressed with the customer service I received and thrilled to be typing this from the comfort of my replacement chair. These really ARE beautiful chairs. Oh! In some of the photos they show the base as being more of a maple color but it's a lighter, cooler, taupe shade. It looks fantastic with antique-style casters I added because the wheels seemed like the weak point in previous reviews. It takes these: Skelang 2" Grip Ring Caster, Swivel Furniture Ball Casters, Rolling Vintage Wheel Casters with Sockets, Brass Ball Caster Wheels for Desk, Wooden Chai Sold by: SkelangDirect and you'll need five. Apparently there are more than one type of caster connector and the first time I ordered the long ones which are incompatible. I'm using these on hard tile so I'm not sure how they'd do on carpet.Based on my recent experience with this company and the way they stood behind their product, I absolutely reccommend this chair to anyone who fancies it!let me start by saying I love this chair. It's super hard to find a cute chair that can handle weight above 250 lbs. I bought this chair and with in two months the gas cylinder was sinking. So I put some 3D printed holders to keep the chair up. I pretty much need the chair at full height just to be comfortable and I am 5'3" so it doesn't go high up. Well within one day of the holders the gas cylinder was shattered and I was wobbling this way and that way.Luckily I am pretty handy so I learned for just about 25 bucks you can get an even better gas cylinder that can get the chair higher and has a much heavier weight limit. you just have to replace it yourself. And because my previous cylinder was broken I spent several weeks sobbing over removing it. But once I got the old cylinder off and the new one on ... life has been a dream. The chair is cute and I feel super stable. With an expensive price tag already on this, I am sure not many people will want to buy a different cylinder right off the bat but I highly recommend doing so. You will be supported so much longer.3 stars for the cuteness but cannot give any higher because of the crappy gas cylinder they provided with this chair.9/7/22 Update: Received replacement chair in excellent condition. Thank you for standing behind your products and resolving my issues.9/1/22 Update: Seller reached out to make things right. Very good customer service. Waiting on replacement chair. Will update when received.8/28/22 Easy to assemble, color looks great, sits firm. However, after just a few minutes of sitting in this chair, the arms are already crushed when I put my weight on the arms to get out of the chair. I heard a wood snapping sound. I weigh about 150 but the arms crushed like flimsy wood. On closer inspection, the entire frame of the chair is really poorly constructed and I wouldn't be surprised if it falls apart in a few months. The chair was very nice looking but had stitching that was coming loose as well as some of the brads on the side of the chair were sharp and caught my clothing in it! the brads were very rough and jagged. The chair was a bit costly to have those flaws in it.The seat width is more narrow than I anticipated. The front of the seat also tilts very easy so if you sit at the front of the chair, you will feel like your spilling out. Color is great , and it’s a heavy duty chair. Would buy again! The chair is beautiful and it has nice arm rests for typing. I’m 5’6” and it is great. After all day of computer work I noticed no back support and needed a lumbar pillow. I would buy it again as I love the look of itI barely ever write reviews but this was a good purchase.I spent so long looking for the perfect office chair... that was attractive... and unique... but super functional and comfortable. I love it. I only wish the casters weren't plastic - would be even better if they were brass - but I really love this chair. Sturdy and has held up for months working from home. I might get another one.I bought this chair a little under four months ago. Within a month the piston started going out and only stays in the position i want it to 50% of the time. Now the staples on the upholstery are falling out at random, as well as the decorative brads. To top it all off, this chair isn't even remotely comfortable and i can tell the seat is already starting to wear out. If you have back problems avoid this chair. If you don't have back problems avoid this chair. Complete garbage.
