Taste of Home 365 Days of Cookies Cookbook - Daily Cookie Recipes for Every Occasion | Holiday Baking, Family Gatherings & Sweet Treats All Year

I absolutely love this cookbook! I am a huge fan of cookbooks - all kinds. There is nothing better than getting a cookbook in the mail and then sitting down to read. I love to go through every page and read every recipe. I bought this cookbook right before Christmas as I wanted a comprehensive cookbook to get me through the holiday baking season. This book did not disappoint. There are several pros to this book. 1. It is 448 pages and it has a LOT of recipes. I personally didn’t count to ensure it has 365 recipes but many pages had 2 recipes and sometimes multiple variations. 2. It has pictures on almost every page. 3. The directions are easy to follow. 4. The book is laid out by season so it’s very easy to find an appropriate cookie for every event. 5. I bought the spiral bound version and LOVE it. It makes it so easy to lay flat.I think some of the other reviews were a little short sighted. Yes there are some basic recipes about dipping a cookie into something else but that is the minority. Most are regular recipes that you would expect and hope to see in a great cookbook. And let’s face it, who doesn’t need a shortcut sometimes? IF I had to find a critique of this cookbook I would say that one of the things I do enjoy about cookbooks are reading the stories about each recipe. I didn’t expect that since this is a Taste of Home cookbook so I wasn’t all that disappointed. I strongly recommend this to cooks at all levels.
