I have been most fortunate to have had the opportunity to befriend one of the author’s sons a few years back - one of the intended recipients of the letters written by the author, and collected here in this book. My friend, the author’s son, has the unique ability to humble you - because without question he is better read, more articulate and more considerate than anyone else in the room, while simultaneously making you feel great about being you. He is kind, responsible and the true avatar of all the finest qualities of a gentleman.Reading this book has been interesting as it gave me some insight into understanding the values and teachings this friend of mine had grown up with. The book has lessons on everything from making good conversation to how to deal with parents that bug you - and everything that falls in between. The author must be so proud to know that as I read this book, it was as if I already had all the answers to his lessons because of the time I had spent with his son.To anyone looking for a source of guidance and self-improvement, I would like to strongly recommend this book.
