Wow! The author is someone personally known to me since we were kids. We attended school and church together, but what a revelation in this novel. I was dumbstruck and numb from her pain. I am overwhelmed with emotions but extremely proud of the woman, mother, and wife she has become. This book is captivating and mind blowing. I could not stop reading. It took two days of laughter and tears to get through it. Kadine has used her pain to stand and represent for so many unspoken women who have encountered abuse in their lives. I salute and applaud her for her truth, and for finding home within. I encourage you to read it as you too can find home within.
